Since 2005, Estel has implemented and maintains active an Environment Management System in compliance with the requirements of UNI EN ISO 14001 standard, for designing, production and installation of furniture, walls and chairs for offices; through which, it has defined its own Environmental Policy and has set improvement objectives (quantified and scheduled), bearing in mind information on the environmental impacts related to its activities.
In order to realize what is expressed in the policy and to achieve the objectives established, Estel has implemented a series of procedures used to regulate all the processes characterizing company activities and that can have an influence on the environmental performance of the company.
The effectiveness and efficacy of the procedures and the processes used by the company are annually checked by a certification body.
The environment management system has been extended in 2007 to Syntech Spa, which has obtained the certification in July of the same year.
In February 2009, in the field of its growing towards a sustainable future, Estel Office Spa has obtained the FSC certification for the management system of the chain of custody. This certification guarantees the final customer that the wood used to manufacture the products comes from forests certified according to international safeguard standards of environmental and social-economical aspects related to the forest.
