After studying industrial design in Florence, Adriano Baldanzi and Alessandro Novelli began their work together with other colleagues, focusing on design and corporate image. In 1984, they founded the studio Baldanzi e Novelli.
They collaborate with numerous Italian companies, covering sectors from home to office. Their products are distributed worldwide and are often recognized and awarded.
“The office chair is one of the most difficult things to design: there are dozens of factors to consider, mechanisms that must be intuitive, regulations to comply with, and then there is the direct interaction with the user. An office chair is not an object to admire, but something you ‘wear’; in the end, comfort is what matters, and the final judgment is made by the seat.”
