Commitment to a greener future
Corporate sustainability is an integral part of Estel’s philosophy.
For years, we have adopted a concrete and progressive approach based on ESG criteria – environmental, social and governance – to reduce environmental impact across every stage of our value chain.
Every strategic decision reflects our commitment to a more responsible future: we follow a shared Code of Ethics and are guided by product quality, environmental sustainability, and workplace safety.
Corporate responsibility drives our daily actions and our growth outlook.
Planet
Through the use of clean energy, efficient water resource management, and strict emissions control, we reduce environmental impact and promote a responsible production model.
Renewable energy
Estel is actively committed to the energy transition. Thanks to 4.3 MW photovoltaic systems installed at our production facilities, we cover 30% of our electricity needs. This allows us to reduce emissions by approximately 2,600 tonnes of CO₂.

Water cycle
A closed-loop system: coating water is reused across multiple cycles, reducing waste, and is carefully treated and disposed of without being discharged into the sewage system. These practices allow us to minimize the water impact of our production activities, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations and the protection of water resources.

Emissions control
Emissions are constantly monitored and reduced through the use of sustainable materials such as water-based paints and eco-friendly adhesives, as well as the use of wood chips to meet thermal energy needs, thereby lowering the release of substances into the atmosphere.

Photovoltaic system
Since 2009, five photovoltaic systems have been commissioned: the first in Thiene, operational from December 2009 with a capacity of 527 kW; in 2010, the Arsiero plant with 994 kW and the expansion of Thiene, bringing the total capacity to 955 kW; in September 2011, the Massa Carrara plant with 648 kW came online; finally, the second Arsiero plant and the Brugnera plant, commissioned in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
Sustainable design
The design of our furniture follows the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology, which analyzes the entire product lifecycle and results in the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification, verifying the environmental impact of our furniture. Every component is designed to reduce waste, optimize resources, and ensure efficiency and durability over time.

Selection of local suppliers
We carefully select local suppliers, prioritizing those operating according to sustainability and innovation criteria. This approach reduces the environmental impact associated with transportation and allows us to ensure maximum control over the quality and traceability of raw materials.
Product
Every stage, from the selection of raw materials to processing, distribution, and the product’s end of life, is designed to reduce environmental impact while ensuring quality and durability. We commit to using recycled materials, promoting repairability and recyclability, and collaborating with local suppliers who share our values of environmental responsibility.

Recycled materials
Our furniture contains up to 90% recycled materials: chipboard panels made of 93% reclaimed wood, as well as glass and steel with recycled content.

Repairability
We guarantee spare parts for at least 10 years, with the possibility of extension, to promote furniture repairability, reduce waste, and extend product lifespan.

Sustainable packaging
We use recycled and recyclable packaging (up to 90% recycled cardboard and at least 50% polyethylene), optimize volumes to reduce waste, and directly manage post-installation collection and recycling.

Disassemblable products
We design furniture that is easy to disassemble and recycle, allowing materials to be recovered
at the end of the product’s life.
