EPD Certification: a new achievement for Estel

For years, Estel has been committed to becoming more sustainable every day, integrating environmental and social criteria, adopting a pollution prevention policy, and pursuing the progressive reduction of emissions, waste, and resource consumption.

This month, Estel has reached another important milestone for its products: the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification.

EPD is an environmental declaration that analyzes the product life cycle (LCA = Life Cycle Assessment).
The measurements are based on ISO 14040 series standards and are developed and shared at an international level.

The main purpose of an EPD is to provide accurate and scientific information about the environmental impact of a product.

Compared to other eco-labels and self-declared green certifications that cover only certain aspects of the life cycle perspective, EPDs encompass the entire LCA of goods and services. The LCA considers the full life cycle of a product: from the extraction of raw materials needed for its production, through the manufacturing phase, to its end of life.
